چکیده
ABSTRACT Host-derived antimicrobial peptides play an important role in the defense against extracellular bacterial infections. However, capacity of derived from macrophages as potential antibacterial effectors intracellular pathogens remains unknown. In this study, we report that normal (wild-type, WT) mouse increased their expression cathelin-related peptide (CRAMP, encoded by Camp) after infection viable E. coli or stimulation with inactivated and its product lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a process involving activation NF-κB followed protease-dependent conversion CRAMP inactive precursor to active form. The was required WT for elimination phagocytosed coli, participation autophagy-related proteins ATG5, LC3-II LAMP-1, well aggregation bacteria p62 (also known SQSTM1). This impaired CRAMP−/− macrophages, resulting retention fragmentation macrophages. These results indicate is critical component autophagy-mediated clearance

development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Transmission electron microscopy was used to study ultrastructures in Paracoccidioides brasiliensis yeast cells after ingestion by nonactivated or cytokine-activated murine peritoneal macrophages. Yeast cells ingested by nonactivated macrophages had typical bi- and trilayered cell walls, plasma membranes, mitochondria, nuclei, vacuoles, etc., which remained intact for 24 h of coculture. In cont...
متن کاملA Potential New Pathway for Staphylococcus aureus Dissemination: The Silent Survival of S. aureus Phagocytosed by Human Monocyte-Derived Macrophages
Although considered to be an extracellular pathogen, Staphylococcus aureus is able to invade a variety of mammalian, non-professional phagocytes and can also survive engulfment by professional phagocytes such as neutrophils and monocytes. In both of these cell types S. aureus promptly escapes from the endosomes/phagosomes and proliferates within the cytoplasm, which quickly leads to host cell d...
متن کاملInhibition of mTOR reduces lipotoxic cell death in primary macrophages through an autophagy-independent mechanism.
Macrophage dysfunction in obesity and diabetes is associated with persistent inflammation and poor wound healing responses. Relevant to these phenotypes, we have previously shown that macrophage activation in a high-fat environment results in cell death via a mechanism that involves lysosome damage. While searching for signaling pathways that were required for this response, we discovered that ...
